Dr. Pilcher is the oldest of two children, born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. The "city of brotherly love" is quite a distance from San Antonio, but similar in it’s many cultural and historic interests.
She graduated from Temple University School of Medicine with Honors. It was there she was chosen to become a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Pilcher's exceptional performance in medical school allowed her to seek a six year residency training program in General Surgery at the University of Virginia. After establishing this solid foundation in the principles of surgery, she progressed to training in her long term interest in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Virginia. She trained under internationally renowned and respected teachers. During her training she not only was awarded the Upjohn Excellence in Medicine Award, but also published several research papers.
During her training she was married and also started a family. In 1995, Dr. Pilcher relocated with her husband (a General Surgeon) as he was called to serve in the United States Air Force at Wilford Hall in San Antonio. She has since been in a successful private practice. Dr. Pilcher's husband also began in private practice after leaving the Air Force in 1999, and they happily call San Antonio "home."
Dr. Pilcher is certified by the prestigious American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. She is also a member of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, San Antonio Plastic Surgical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Bexar County Medical Society. She has served as Department Head of Plastic Surgery at Northeast Baptist Hospital.
She performs a wide variety of surgical procedures including cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, the latest techniques of body contouring. She has received post graduate advanced training facial rejuvenation, including advanced skin care, chemical peels, Botox®, and soft tissue fillers.
