Lancaster, Pennsylvania (PA) Breast Augmentation with breast implants by
Richard M. Levin, M.D.
Dr. Richard Levin Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Lancaster, PA Plastic Surgeon Dr. Richard Levin

Thank you for visiting Dr. Levin's web page on ImplantInfo. During your consultation, Dr. Levin will take the time to answer all of your questions about breast augmentation, other breast surgery or any procedure you are considering. He will explain the procedure, help determine if it is right for you, and let you know what results you may expect. His practice is located in Lancaster, PA and is both a professional and warm, inviting place.

We usually perform breast augmentation in the hospital or in the local surgicenter, usually 4 to 5 times a week to reshape breasts that are small from childhood or after babies. Usually surgery is performed through the armpit called transaxillary, to avoid a scar on your breast, and under the muscle to make your result more natural. This requires sedation or general anesthesia for approximately an hour or more. This fees involved for breast augmentation surgery are anesthesia services, prescription drugs, the surgeon's fee, the implant and recovery room. After surgery, time off of work is usually one week and exercise is individually managed. You may shower 3 days later.

Although breast implants are considered safe, complications do sometimes occur. Among the most common are a condition called capsular contracture, in which scar tissue in the breast puts pressure on the implant and an implant rupture, in which saline leaks from the implant. Although the latter condition is not dangerous, it can cause the implant to deflate. Dr. Levin can fix these and other breast implant problems with breast implant revision surgery.

Breast lift is a procedure used to rejuvenate breasts that have lost volume or begun to sag over time. Multiple pregnancies and months of breastfeeding can combine with the normal effects of time and gravity to cause breasts to droop. Breast lift is an excellent procedure that can subtly but significantly improve your appearance and make you look younger. Silicone gel or saline breast implants can be put in place during breast lift surgery if you desire augmentation as well as lifting. Again, Dr. Levin emphasizes natural-looking results. If you think a breast lift or any other breast surgery might be the right procedure for you, please contact our Lancaster, PA office today.
