Military Girl’s Story

Breast Implants and Breast Augmentation Stories from our Visitors

If you have already read Nicole's Story, you have a pretty good idea what this section of the website is all about. After several women emailed their breast augmentation stories to us, we thought it would be great to have women share their full-length recovery stories after their breast implant surgeries for everyone's benefit. Thankfully, many women have contributed, some in more detail than others.

Here are the stories of our visitors. Many names have been changed for privacy. Where appropriate, there is detail in parentheses so you can decide if you are interested. Click on a name to read.

Successful Breast Augmentation

I found any info I ever thought of on this site. I really believe Implantinfo is providing a service to us women no one else can.

Ok I am 23, married to a great guy, I have 2 kids and I am active duty military. I work out often, so I am kind of slim except for my hips. After breastfeeding 2 kids I went from a firm A cup to a saggy -A. I like to say they look like balloons that have been deflated. I have always wanted a boob-job, but after the kids I needed it.

After months of staring in the mirror at my deflated breast I told my hubby I wanted to have a BA. After telling me he loved me the way I was
and they are doing fine for him he said he would support my decision for the surgery. So my research began. I looked in phone books and the internet but found my doc from a friend. I was so surprised because her breasts looked so natural. So I called and scheduled a consult on my b-day.

After waiting several weeks I went to my free consultation. The doctor treated me like I had already paid for the procedure (with respect and patience). He explained and answered everything. I later met with some of his amazing staff and spoke about price for the procedure (I wanted memory gel unders). The price was $6600, which was reasonable especially for his level of experience and prestige. And not only that they gave me a b-day card (wow).

My hubby and I took the paperwork and went to talk about it over lunch. After speaking with and meeting him and his staff, researching him (Business bureau and credentials) and seeing him on television I decided I wanted him. Some people interview several doctors but I knew I didn't mind paying his price especially for the level of comfort I got from him and his staff. I called back and scheduled my date, Sept 17.

I counted the days like a child at Christmas. I started looking on the internet for pics of the way I want my breasts to look and that is how I found Nicole's site. I have been on everyday since 1 Aug 2008 and I will continue. I tried to keep it a secret from my co-workers I just didn't know too many other females in the military with breast implants. To my surprise, I met a girl in my unit who had recently had her's done so I leaned on her for support.

The night before my surgery I could barely sleep. I had prepared a whole week prior: took care of all the house work, groceries, and kid's stuff. I even made up a story for my co-workers (I was having a scar revision so I wouldn't be working out or lifting). I finally fell asleep for the big day.

I woke up singing and ready. My hubby dropped me off at the surgery center at 0500 and went back to drop my kids off. By the time he got back I was in the gown, with an IV, and markings. He was not able to come back before they started so he waited in the waiting room for me. The anesthesiologist came in and gave me something to relax.

I remember the nurses pushing the bed in and asking me was I ready to come out different. I saw the room for a sec and woke up with a strange sensation on my chest. I realized the surgery was over. They gave me some pain meds, let me rest a little, then got me dressed. I could barely keep my eyes open as they wheeled me to my hubby waiting in he car. He drove me home (I slept the whole 20 mins) and put me in our bed. He gave me my meds, tucked me in and checked on me a lot. He did so great I was impressed with his service! I almost used one of those expensive after care centers, but having someone I love and loves me care for me was better. I had a compression garment and some steri-strips so I could see results immediately. I was happy, nervous, and in anticipation as to how they would look in a few months. My hubby is also happy with the results.

The doc called me later that night. His staff called me every other day. And my family called also (their support was important). I have only had one post-op so far. I learned some massages and I think they are starting to drop already. The only weird thing that has happened is I started producing a little milk (its only been 6 months since I weaned my son) so this isn't harmful, just strange. I love the size already and I have not lost any sensation. I'm back at work and no one can tell because of my uniform. Although somebody made a joke I was out getting a boob job and that spread but was later squashed.

I will keep updating my profile and eventually add some pics. Thank you all for your support and information.
