Michelle’s Story

So like most people who are looking into breast augmentation, I was very self-conscious about my small breasts but was also terrified of the idea of the actual surgery. We have all seen the recovery horror stories on TV, where the girls wake up in hysterics and they are in agony for days and days and regret ever wanting the surgery. So when I began my search for my doctor to say I was reluctant is an under statement. I began my search through the doctor review sites and asking friends for any input or suggestions. I myself work in a doctor’s office and we had a patient one day come in and tell me that I had to look up Dr. Mark Epstein. She had gone to him to help with her breast augmentation from a previous doctor and she had nothing but amazing things to say about him. So I began my search of him, I looked on every doctor review site I could find. What became very apparent to me was that his 24 hour recovery seemed like it was a dream come true but at the same time too good to be true. After satisfying myself with the reviews that did nothing but confirm what she had said about him being amazing I made the call to set up my consultation.

I went into my appointment of course very nervous, and still having a bit of reluctance towards the surgery. Slowly but surely all my reluctance seemed to fade away. The office staff is absolutely wonderful, they are warm and very welcoming. They make you feel right at home and very comfortable the minute you walk in. I then met Dr. Epstein, who really took his time to explain the surgery and his 24 hour recipe for recovery. He answered all my questions without hesitation and was very welcoming of all of my obsessiveness. He then took my 3D images and went over the type and size that would be perfect for me and my body type. I was very pleased with my appointment and very happy with Dr. Epstein and his 24 hour recovery. As I was leaving Dr. Epstein asked if I had a few minutes to sit and chat with a few of his post-op appointments that he had coming in. So I agreed, and was kind of excited to hear first hand what these girls had gone through with his 24 hour recovery. After talking to them I was absolutely sold on Dr. Epstein. They had assured me that his recovery was for real and I would be very happy with my results.

So the day of my surgery I was of course very nervous, I got to the office and Dr. Epstein's staff instantly made me feel comfortable. They walked me through everything and I was so grateful they were so concerned about me being comfortable. After the surgery I woke up groggy but not in pain at all. I went home and took my "doctor ordered" two hour nap and woke up feeling pretty good. I took my ibuprofen,my shower and did my exercises and I felt great!! That night I went out to dinner and besides feeling a little tired I had no complaints. The next day I went to my post op appointment in the morning and then did some shopping and I carried my own bags 🙂 The next few days followed a pretty similar pattern, I did my normal activities with little to no discomfort and never needed anything more than ibuprofen which I stopped 4 days after my surgery.

I am now 6 weeks post op and I could not be any happier with my decision. I love my new breasts and I feel amazing!! They are already looking natural and are settling where they need to be. I am so happy I went with Dr. Epstein for my surgery and I am so happy with his 24 hour recovery system. It was amazing being able to be up and doing normal activities the day after my surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Epstein and his 24 hour recovery system.
