Breast Implants and Breast Augmentation Stories from our Visitors
If you have already read Nicole's Story, you have a pretty good idea what this section of the website is all about. After several women emailed their breast augmentation stories to us, we thought it would be great to have women share their full-length recovery stories after their breast implant surgeries for everyone's benefit. Thankfully, many women have contributed, some in more detail than others.
Here are the stories of our visitors. Many names have been changed for privacy. Where appropriate, there is detail in parentheses so you can decide if you are interested. Click on a name to read.
24 Hour Really Works!
My plastic surgeon was Dr. Mark Epstein
After surviving the hellish two and a half hour drive from New Jersey to Long Island, I walked into Dr. Epstein's office and could not have received more of a warm and friendly greating from his staff. Dr. Epstein took his time with me explaining the surgery, taking photographs and showing me my before and after 3D images, relaying accounts of other's experiences and helping me decide on the type and size of implant that would work best for me.
The worst part of the whole experience was waiting for my surgical date to finally arrive. The day of the surgery both Dr. Epstein and his staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and to quell any last minute jitters. I woke up from the suregery feeling a little bit sore but ecstatic that I had done it.
The recipe for recovery that Dr. Epstein swears by truely is amazing. From the moment I walked out of the office I was totally self sufficient. Although some movements were uncomfortable there was no point that I experienced pain. After taking a nap, I showered and headed out to go to dinner and the mall. I did approximately three hours worth of shopping, walking and carrying bags, with no problem.
I am very happy to say that the ease of the first 24 hours continued through my recovery. I had the surgery on a Wednesday, and the following Monday I was back at work. I work in Law Enforcement and was back out on the street running around making arrests less than a week after surgery!! Other women who have detailed their breast augmentation surgery to me are still reliant on others to help them sit up at that point in thier recovery. Three months after the surgery I ran my first marathon with absolutely no problem.
It has now been ten months since my surgery. I have fortunately not had any ill effects from the suregery. I still couldn't be happier with my decision to undergo this surgery. The confidence that it has given me has truely changed my life.
