Breast Implants and Breast Augmentation Stories from our Visitors

If you have already read Nicole's Story, you have a pretty good idea what this section of the website is all about. After several women emailed their breast augmentation stories to us, we thought it would be great to have women share their full-length recovery stories after their breast implant surgeries for everyone's benefit. Thankfully, many women have contributed, some in more detail than others.

Here are the stories of our visitors. Many names have been changed for privacy. Where appropriate, there is detail in parentheses so you can decide if you are interested. Click on a name to read.

Erin 24 Hour Recovery From Breast Augmentation

My plastic surgeon was Dr. Mark Epstein
I recently underwent a breast augmentation procedure about two months ago and couldn't be happier with my decision. I really wanted to share my story because I feel it might help those who are a little hesitant or unsure about the recovery process.

I contemplated this surgery for about two years prior to receiving it..and I kept putting it off because I thought that the recovery would be too time consuming for my busy work schedule.

I've always had two jobs and both are very active physically. I'm currently in the military reserves and Law enforcement full time. So I definitely couldn't afford to take weeks off for recovery and honestly didn't want to call out sick so I could avoid all the prying questions and unnecessary comments etc

I found Dr. Mark D. Epstein online and was intrigued by the 24 hour recovery process. I was definitely a little skeptical but I decided to schedule the consultation anyway. Hey...What did I have to lose right??

The consultation went really well. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Dr. Epstein answered all of my questions and even took pictures of my breasts and input them in this 3D Vectra system/computer so I could compare and see what I would look like before and after the procedure was done. I was more than satisfied with my visit. I was measured and fit to an implant size that would be the most natural and best fit for my height and body type.

When my surgery date finally arrived I was definitely a little nervous and anxious to get it over with. I was also praying that this 24hr recovery method actually worked, because my job denied my request to have off due to this mandatory meeting that i had to attend. (Ahhhhhh)

The procedure took less than an hour and i was able to get dressed and put my hands over my head before walking out of the office door. My mom ended up driving me straight over to work. I some how made it through the meeting and rushed home to take a shower (which felt sooo good, and helped to relieve the tension and tightness) then iItook a two hour nap (which is part of the rapid recovery recipe).

Another part of the rapid recovery process is to raise your hands over your head in almost a jumping-jack motion (minus the jumping) about five times every hour and to also lie directly on your breast right before going to sleep for about 15 minutes. I took no more than an ibuprofen 800mg, which I honestly only used the first day.

I ended up going to work the following day..(I know I'm crazy) But I honestly think it helped!! I had to wear my bullet proof vest and gunbelt. The vest put pressure on my breast, which helped push the implant in its place. I was not only able to perform my daily work duties but I was even able to place 2 perpetrators under arrest. I couldn't believe how great I was feeling ONE day after surgery!! Believe me....I am no G.I. Jane!!!!!...But I did want to share my experience with other women who were contemplating breast augmentation, because it IS possible to go on with your daily routine without having to worry about being in bed for 3 months recovering.

I honestly couldn't be happier with my results. Dr. Mark D. Epstein and his staff were absolutely wonderful to me. And I will forever be grateful. The 24hr recovery method is most definitely the ONLY way to go if your considering breast augmentation.

The best of luck and wishes to all!!! XoXo =)
