When I was researching breast augmentation - way back before I had a consultation with a plastic surgeon, and long before I started this breast implant information web site, I read everything I could find about breast enlargement. The books below are some of the better ones, in my opinion.
Most of the hyperlinked book titles link you to each book's page on Amazon.com. I have been unable to find these titles in my local bookstore, so to get them, I either had to place special orders at my local store or buy them over the 'net. BodySculpture: Plastic Surgery of the Body for Men & Women
by Alan M. Engler, M.D.Dr. Engler's book discusses many plastic surgery procedures, focusing on the most commonly performed ones. The book covers breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reduction, liposuction,and abdominoplasty (tummy tucks). The book includes information on procedures, actual photos of before and after results and sections on the psychological and emotional issues associated with plastic surgery.
Breast Implants : Everything You Need to Know
Nancy Pauline Bruning
Nancy Bruning is a breast cancer survivor who has a silicone breast implant. This book provides practical advice for women considering implants and tells you what to do if something goes wrong, such as a leak or rupture. The book also features extensive coverage of topics pertaining to breast reconstruction.
The Truth About Breast Implants
Randolph H. Guthrie, et alA book focusing on breast implants, designed to clear up confusion and anxiety about them. Contains actual case studies. Note: Dr. Guthrie favors over-the-muscle implants and his book reflects his views.

Ersek and Schaeferle have done a great job in putting together useful information to help women interested in breast augmentation make smarter choices. -Nicole
