About the Doctors

 Peter R. Ledoux, M.D.

After a year of research at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Ledoux attended Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit where he received his M.D. in 1987. He then returned to Baltimore to complete his General Surgery residency in 1992. Dr. Ledoux discovered his talent in plastic and reconstructive surgery while receiving training in the specialty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Ledoux is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Both of these boards are recognized and are members of the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Ledoux's areas of professional interest include microsurgery, breast reconstruction, and all aspects of cosmetic surgery.

Chet L. Nastala, M.D.

Dr. Nastala is a native of Philadelphia , Pennsylvania, attended Harvard College, graduating magn cum laude. He received his MD at Duke University, North Carolina and was awarded the Kenneth L. Pickrell, MD Scholarship. In the pursuit of excellence in Plastic Surgery, Dr. Nastala completed a nine year post-graduate program at the University of Pittsburgh, integrating the disciplines of General Surgery, Surgical Oncology Research, Plastic, and Microvascular Surgery. He holds current board certification by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic surgery.

Dr. Nastala has served the South Texas community for the past four years at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, most recently as Chief of Plastic Surgery and the Director of the Plastic Surgery training program. Dr. Nastala performs microvascular breast reconstruction and the full spectrum of plastic and surgical procedures designed to restore the quality of life and enhance our patients' sense of well-being.

Dr. Nastala has a particular interest in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. He has lectured on the latest techniques of short scar breast reduction, breast lifts, and the use of skin-sparing reconstructive breast techniques. He employs minimally invasive endoscopic techniques when possible for surgery of the breast and other cosmetic procedures of the face and forehead, including fat grafting or breast augmentation. In addition, Dr. Nastala welcomes referrals for all cases of melanoma and other skin cancers requiring reconstruction or in cosmetically sensitive areas of the face, scalp, ears, hands and extremities.

Steven M. Pisano, M.D.

Dr. Pisano is a native Texan, and a graduate of the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Steven M. Pisano has committed a significant portion of his professional career to meeting the unique needs of breast cancer patients. He spent one year as a junior faculty associate-microvascular fellow at the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Pisano is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Both of these boards are recognized and are members of the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Pisano's areas of professional interest are wide ranging; he maintains a special interest in all areas of breast surgery, including breast reconstruction, and all aspects of aesthetic surgery.

Minas Chrysopoulo, M.D.

Dr. Minas Chrysopoulo has been practicing medicine since 1996. He was raised and educated in London, England. He is a graduate of the University of London where he received his bachelor of science degree in Advanced Anatomy and Morphology prior to completing his medical degree. Upon receiving his degree Dr. Chrysopoulo continued his training in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio prior to undertaking a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has also completed fellowships in burn surgery and burn reconstruction at Shriner's Burn Hospital for Children in Galveston, and hand surgery and microsurgery at the Indiana Hand Center.
