Breast augmentation surgery is the most popular cosmetic surgery in the US. Patients that are candidates for this surgery will need guidance about the technical aspects of this procedure. This includes the implant size, shape, profile and form (saline or silicone filled). Also is important the point of entry (peri-areolar, sub mammary and axillary-arm pit). The placement of the implant is crucial and usually we prefer to insert it into the sub muscular area although in some cases it has to be placed into the sub glandular space.

The initial comprehensive consultation is important and all your questions and concerns will be discussed. You will also be provided with extensive reading material. Although recovery time varies, may patients are able to return to work within a week. However, it is very important to avoid strenuous activity for a week. Dr. Blau specializes in cosmetic surgery of the body and face. Breast surgery encompasses over 2/3 of his practice and performs over 200 cases per year. Liposuction, Tummy Tucks and Rhinoplasty are also common procedures performed in his practice.

Dr. Blau served as an instructor to medical students in the anatomy lab in both Albert Einstein College of Medicine and NY Medical College.

Regularly attends seminars and conventions for the purpose of continuing education in Plastic Surgery. This includes top Universities like Harvard, Yale and others.
