About Dr. Chung Education B.S.: University of California, Davis -Davis, California M.D.: University of California, San Francisco - San Francisco, California General Surgery Residency: Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Los Angeles, California Plastic Surgery Residency: University of California, San Diego Medical Center - San Diego, California After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis with the Highest Honors, Dr. Chung began his medical education at the prestigious University of California at San Francisco. While at both UC Davis and UC San Francisco, he was recognized with the most prestigious distinction - UC Regents Scholar - earning him a full academic scholarship for all eight years of his schooling. In addition, Dr. Chung has received numerous awards and honors, and is fully trained in General Surgery with Fellowship training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California at San Diego. Dr. Chung is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Chung has presented at multiple scientific meetings and is well published. His latest academic project is a review book for plastic surgeons for the board certification examination which is in near completion. Prior to his relocation to Puget Sound, Dr. Chung was a successful Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon in the greater Los Angeles and San Francisco regions. However, after the birth of his two daughters, Dr. Chung and his family, relocated to the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest, where he continues to dedicate his professional efforts to providing the best medical care to his patients. Dr. Chung is supported by his wonderful wife, Nancy, and enjoys raising his two daughters, Kyra and Aspen. Dr. Chung enjoys the outdoors and light classical music. Stridde was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1956. He was educated at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in 1983. He served his internship and residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire, finally serving as Chief Resident in 1988-89. Concurrently with his Chief Residency, he served as an instructor in surgery at Dartmouth Medical School. He also held an additional plastic surgery fellowship at Canniesburn Hospital in Scotland. He next held his fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at Davies Medical Center in San Francisco, California followed by a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Washington. He also served as Chief Resident in plastic surgery at that institution. During his tenure at the University of Washington, he received the Best Resident Paper Award from the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Stridde is meticulous and thorough, and combines friendliness and professionalism in a way that inspires patient confidence. He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners (#282742) and of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (#5009) and is licensed to practice in the State of Washington (#27531).
