About Our Doctors
John C. Schantz, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Lancaster county native, a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and received his medical degree from Hahnemann University. He completed his surgical internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and his residencies in general and plastic surgery at the Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Schantz is board certified in both general and plastic surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Association for Surgery of the Hand, as well as numerous other professional and scientific societies.
Dr. Schantz is now on the active staffs of Lancaster General Hospital where he serves as Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery and HealthSouth Surgery Center, courtesy staffs of St. Joseph Hospital, Community Hospital of Lancaster and Ephrata Community Hospital.
Dr. Schantz and his wife, also a physician, have two sons. He has been practicing in Lancaster since 1978.
Michael S. Flood, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a New York native who earned his bachelor's degree at Providence College in Rhode Island and his medical degree from the University of Bologna, Italy. He performed his internship at the University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, where he also completed his residency in general surgery. Dr. Flood completed his residency in plastic surgery at Duke University Medical Center and received additional training as a fellow at the Louisville Institute of Hand Microsurgery in Kentucky.
Dr. Flood is board certified in both general and plastic surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, as well as other medical and scientific organizations.
He is on the active staffs of Lancaster General Hospital, HealthSouth Surgery Center, and on the courtesy staff of St. Joseph Hospital, Community Hospital of Lancaster and Ephrata Community Hospital.
Dr. Flood is married and has three children. He joined Cosmetic Surgery Center of Lancaster in 1988.
Kenneth R. Arthur, M.D., F.A.C.S., was born in Altoona, PA, raised in central Pennsylvania and earned his B.S. in General Science at Pennsylvania State University. He participated at Penn State in a five-year cooperative Pre-med/Med Program with Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, where he later earned his medical degree. Dr. Arthur performed his general surgical internship and residency at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, NY and his plastic surgery residency at the Albert B. Chandler Medical Center, University of Kentucky. He also completed a hand and microsurgery fellowship at the University of Alabama.
Dr. Arthur is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, as well as other medical and scientific organizations.
He is on the active staffs of Lancaster General Hospital, HealthSouth Surgery Center, and on the courtesy staff of St. Joseph Hospital, Community Hospital of Lancaster and Ephrata Community Hospital.
Dr. Arthur is married and the father of three. He joined Cosmetic Surgery Center of Lancaster in 1990.
