Larry A. Sargent, M.D.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Sargent received his baccalaureate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He obtained additional training in craniofacial surgery with Dr. Paul Tessier in Paris, France. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Sargent is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery, University of Tennessee College of Medicine- Chattanooga Unit. Dr. Sargent joined The Plastic Surgery Group in 1987, where he founded the Tennessee Craniofacial Center, serving as its medical director. Under his leadership, the center has grown to be nationally recognized with patients referred from over forty states across the U.S. as well as several foreign countries. Dr. Sargent is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. His special areas of interest are craniofacial and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Sargent is a frequent visiting lecturer and has an extensive bibliography-  including a book on Craniofacial Surgery.

           

Mark A. Brzezienski, M.D.

Dr. Brzezienski is a graduate of The Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed General Surgery training at the University of Connecticut, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Dr. Brzezienski has also completed further fellowship training in hand surgery at The Philadelphia Hand Center of Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Brzezienski is Board Certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He joined The Plastic Surgery Group in August of 1995. Since that time, he has been an active faculty member and is currently an Assistant Professor in both the departments of Plastic and Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit. Dr. Brzezienski's specific interests in cosmetic surgery include facial rejuvenation, laser surgery, surgery of the breast, and body contouring. He is a member of several local and national medical societies. Dr. Brzezienski and his wife, Jayne, live in East Brainerd with their two children, Isabella and Alexandra.

 

J. Woodfin Kennedy, M.D.

Dr. Kennedy, a native of Alexander City, Alabama is a graduate of Auburn University and The University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at The University of Alabama in Birmingham and his Plastic Surgery residency at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit. After completing his Plastic Surgery residency, he completed a residency in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at The University of Alabama in Birmingham. He joined The Plastic Surgery Group, P.C. in July 1997. He is a candidate member of The American College of Surgeons and American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is also eligible to receive the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Kennedy is an active member in the Departments of Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit and is a member of several local and national medical professional societies. Dr. Kennedy and his wife, Carrie, reside in Red Bank with their two children, Mary Davis and Lydia.

Lesley Wong, M.D.

Dr. Lesley Wong joined The Plastic Surgery Group, P.C. in September, 2000. She is Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine- Chattanooga Unit and will serve as Medical Director of the Burn Unit and Wound Care Center at Erlanger Health Systems. Dr. Wong is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery and has Added Qualifications in Critical Care. Dr. Wong comes to Chattanooga from Baltimore, Maryland, where she served in a dual role as Medical Director of the Johns Hopkins Wound Healing Center and Director of Burn Critical Care at the Baltimore Regional Burn Center. She was an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Plastic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University - University of Maryland Combined Program and a residency in General Surgery at New York University Medical Center in addition to two fellowships from Johns Hopkins during the 1980s as a Burn Fellow and Research Fellow. Dr. Wong is the author of numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and books and has served as principal investigator in numerous clinical trials examining potential advances in wound healing. She is a frequent lecturer and panelist at regional and national medical conferences.

Jason P. Rehm, M.D.

Dr. Rehm is a graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed General Surgery training at the University of Nebraska in Omaha and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit. After completing his Plastic Surgery residency in June 2003, he completed a fellowship in Hand/Microvascular Surgery at The University of Mississippi in Jackson in July 2004. Dr. Rehm joined The Plastic Surgery Group, P.C. in August 2004. He is an active member in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit and is a member of the local medical professional society. Dr. Rehm and his wife, Jamie, reside on Signal Mountain with their two children Austin and Charles.
