About Dr. Loewenstein
Dr. Loewenstein began practicing in Milwaukee in July of 1982 after finishing his residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Indiana University Hospitals. Dr. Loewenstein did his undergraduate work at Stanford University where he was on the Dean's List of Honor Students, attended Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Indiana University Hospitals.
He received his board certification in general surgery in 1981 and became board certified in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in 1984. Dr. Loewenstein is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Midwest Association of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, the Wisconsin Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a member of the state and county medical societies.

Dr. Loewenstein is the Chairman of the Division of Plastic Surgery at St. Luke's Medical Center. He served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Wisconsin Society of Plastic Surgeons from 1987 to 1991. He was installed as President of this Society on June 6, 1996 for a two year term.
Dr. Loewenstein is also Past President of the James H. Bennett Surgical Society. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin in the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Loewenstein is on staff at St. Luke's Medical Center, West Allis, St. Francis, Elmbrook, Aurora Surgery Center and St. Joseph's.
