Philosophy

TUBA (transumbilical breast augmentation) is my current preferred technique for breast augmentation. Our patients undergoing this technique appear to experience less pain and nerve damage than more traditional techniques and the single belly button incision is by far the best hidden.

Smooth round saline implants are used exclusively in our Trans-umbilical breast augmentations. Dr. Gerson is experienced with all types of implants, incisions, and methods of placement but does not use silicone gel in his practice at this time.

Plastic surgery is for everyone, not just the rich and famous and so should be affordable and available to all reasonable candidates. Patient confidentiality is as important as precise surgical expertise.

Our facilities are self-contained including hospital-grade operating suites, offices, and laboratories all under one roof at both the Illinois (Mercy Woodstock Medical Center) and Wisconsin (Mercy Walworth Medical Center) locations.

Surgery can be performed under both local anesthesia with conscious sedation and general anesthesia depending on the patient's preference. The circumstances and experience of every individual are unique, no two patients are alike, and so every surgical procedure is tailored to meet the needs and expectations of each customer .

Dr. Gerson was the first surgeon in the Geneva Lakes and Chicagoland area to use ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty and is now one of the very few surgeons performing TUBA (Trans-umbilical breast augmentation) which inserts saline breast implants through one incision hidden in the belly button.
