As a native Washingtonian, Dr. Friedman left the District of Columbia and completed his undergraduate education at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri where he majored in Architecture and minored in the sciences. His medical school degree was obtained from the George Washington University School of Medicine where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Post-graduate education took place at the University of Michigan in both General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Post-graduate fellowships in Hand and Microvascular Surgery in San Francisco and Cosmetic and Breast Surgery in Honolulu were completed prior to going into practice in the Washington Metropolitan area in October 1984. Dr. Friedman is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the clinical faculties of both George Washington and Georgetown Universities. Currently, Dr. Friedman serves as the Chairman of the Sub-Section of Plastic Surgery at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Friedman has published papers on breast surgery in the Plastic Surgical literature and presented papers in local, national and international meetings.

Douglas L. Forman, M.D.

After being raised in both Manhattan and Southern California, Dr. Forman completed his undergraduate studies at San Diego State University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Subsequently, he obtained his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Following medical school he completed a residency in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He then went on to train in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Yale University. His training culminated with a subspecialty fellowship in Breast and Aesthetic Surgery at Georgetown University.

Dr. Forman received his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Georgetown University. He is an active member in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Locally, Dr. Forman donates his services to the Operation Smile domestic program and is the team plastic surgeon for the Washington Capitals.
