What patients say about . . .
Michael H. Freedland, M.D.

I used Dr. Freedland in Bloomfield Hills. He's great!! I'm twelve days out and so far, so good! He and his staff have been very attentive and supportive throughout this entire process. Dr. Freedland is board certified and sponsers this site. The anesthesiologist was also board certified.  Dr. Freedland also uses the quick recovery technique...I was in virtually no pain afterward...just a little sore, like I had been working out. I had my BA on a Friday and returned to work on Monday (hubby drove me all week, though, and I have a desk job). I have had an extremely easy recovery so far.

Hi Nicole,

I had Dr.  Michael Freedland (Bloomfield Hills Mi) who is listed on your website. So far everything has been great except for waiting for them to finish dropping and fluffing. I have been very happy with him. And would recommend him to everyone.

Thanks for asking
Christine

Hi again, Dr. Freedland was great (and so is his staff!). I went to a consult with another doctor here in MI first, and the total consultation lasted 15 minutes! No talk about sizes, shapes, unders/overs, NOTHING! The next time I would have seen that doctor would have been the day of surgery! I had no idea that this wasn't the norm, until I found your web site and read about how people had pre-op appointments and the different instructions about what to do before (vitamins, food etc) and what not to do. Of course, I sat there thinking that I had no idea what size cc's he was planning on, or anything.

So, I decided to go for a second consultation and found Dr. Freedland on your site. I am 5'11" and 140#, and I was a 36 AA before my BA. I had breastfed three children, and was just looking to feel and look normal in clothes again. Dr. Freedland did anatomicals, 370cc's, unders. The recovery was so much easier than I thought it would be, and I already love them. My left side is my stubborn one that is still waiting to drop and looks all lumpy. But thanks again to your web site, I know that they drop at different rates so I am sitting here patiently (sort-of) waiting for the left to look more like the right. :o) Anyhow, I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful web site you provide! I never had any idea that there were people out there that felt exactly the same way that I do/did. What a blessing to be able to have your site to turn to with questions and for support! Have a great day! -Anne

Nicole ~

Hello. My name is Angela and I had my breast augmentation one month ago. I am 31 years old and have wanted to have this surgery since I was 18. I am 5' 7" and weigh 120 pounds. I have been married for 11 years and have a loving, supportive husband. I have three children ages 9, 5, and almost 2. I breast fed each child for over a year. I am a stay-at-home mother and absolutely love it. I also want to add that I am a born again Christian because of the stigma that goes along with this surgery. I am not someone that goes around flaunting my body, but I do care about how I look.

When I was 18, I asked my OB what he thought about the surgery and he told me it was very dangerous and that there was no reason for a healthy young girl to go through such a thing.

I got married when I was 20 and my husband never complained about the size of my 32 small B breasts, so I didn't think about it much. When I was 23 I had my first child and Ioved having a figure! It was even part of my reason for breastfeeding for nearly two years. Then to my horror, I realized that the experiences had taken a toll on my body. My breasts shrunk to an A cup and were a bit uneven! Over the next seven years, I had two more children and at least three more years of nursing. After each child I swore I would look into breast implants once I was sure I was done having children.

About ten months ago, I weaned my third and final child. Over the next couple months, my breasts shrunk down again like deflated balloons. I was then a 32A on one side and a 32AA on the other. They hung completely flat and were covered in stretch marks. I decided it was time! I then began my study on breast augmentations.

Your site is fantastic! I found it extremely informative and non-biased. I read all of the risks and contemplated all of the statistics. I then searched my area for a plastic surgeon. I found Dr. Michael Freedland and made an appointment for a consultation. Since I had already decided for sure that I wanted the surgery, I was more concerned about how reputable the doctor was than the details about the surgery. He was fantastic from the start. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I scheduled my surgery that day!

On February 25 I had my surgery and it went smoothly without any problems. I went with the inframmary incision, under the muscle, McGhan, anatomical, textured implant, 370 cc on both sides. The drive home was horrible! It was very painful! Still nothing compared to labor. :) My husband had to help me sit, stand, walk, eat, shower, etc. I was swollen, bruised, and stiff. My mother-in-law took our children for a whole week! This was very helpful, except that I missed them. By the eighth day I felt much better. I could walk without holding my fists together! Each day was easier. I slept in a recliner for two weeks before moving to my bed.

It has now been one month and I have been to all of my post-op appointments. I am now a 34D on both sides. I could wear a 32D, but they are hard to find. Everything looks good. They have both fallen into place, but the one that was smaller is still a little higher. My plastic surgeon says it is still too early to worry about. They still need a little leveling out, but you cannot tell with clothes on.

I am totally happy with my new body and the whole experience. I have no regrets and can't wait to do some more shopping! My husband is thrilled too. I did not do this for him, but I like to see his face every time I undress.:) Dr. Freedland is said to be an artist and I can see why.

Thank you for listening to my story. If you would like to ask any questions, drop my a note. I plan on sending in my post-op pictures when I get them.

Angela
