What patients say about . . .
Jon G. Finkler, M.D.
Dear Nicole,
First, I will start by thanking you so very much for this informative site. I may have never proceeded with my ba had it not been for all of the useful things about your site, chat, message boards, etc.. But I'm 40 and finally did have surgery with Dr. Jon Finkler and can not say enough about what an awesome job he and his staff do. I am just thrilled with my new look! I couldn't have picked out a better size, and allowed Dr. Finkler the judgment with final cc's.
I showed him pictures and told him that I wanted a full C. Now I just had surgery 1/13 but so far so good! Literally, I was pain free for the first 6 days, until I went off of my pain meds. I never had pain right after surgery since I had IV sedation and don't recall anything until 10:30p.m. (surgery was at 10:15 a.m. and I was home by 1 p.m.). Dr. Finkler has patients taking muscle relaxers as well as a pain med and I think the combination kept the pain away. And I never threw up or even felt like it once.
I wore the patch starting 12 hrs. before surgery and kept in on for 3 days. The patient care coordinator, Marie, helped me with the meds because of my concerns. And the nurse, Kim, put me at ease the morning of surgery with her calmness and gentleness. I truly know that the outcome of any ba is determined by the plastic surgeon, first and foremost, and then of course your own body. I really want to recommend Dr. Jon Finkler, he truly is an experienced ps. I had seen his work first hand by my friend, and she has had many friends fly in from out of state to use him. Just wanted to put in a good work for an awesome ps.
6/15/01 - Hi Nicole, Dr. Jon Finkler did my BA. His practice is in Rancho Cordova, California. He was recommended to me by at least 4 people, 2 of which I know pretty well. After researching him, and a consultation, I decided that he was a great choice. I have had my implants for 3 weeks and am thrilled. He did a wonderful job. Let me know if you want anymore information on him.

6/13/01 - Dr. Finkler is great! I referred my best friend and she had her BA there as well. We both had a great experience with him.
I researched breast augmentation for six years and interviewed five plastic surgeons before deciding upon Dr. Finkler. In my quest, I encountered a couple of surgeons with pompous and patronizing attitudes, which I most certainly do not care for! I was overwhelmed with all the choices to be made regarding size, placement, etc. Dr. Finkler really listened to me when I told him what I wanted (a "natural" look).
During my research, I became afflicted with "information overload." When I changed my mind several times on what I wanted (larger size, different implants, different everything!), he gently brought me back into perspective and in touch with my feelings and goals stated on my first visit with him. He thoroughly explained to me what he realistically thought could and could not be accomplished with the surgery and the pros and cons of placement, size, incision site, etc. He and the staff were always patient with my questions. They told me that is what they are there for. I'm rather an anxious person and not one to trust just anyone with performing surgery on my body. After all, a bad result with a BA is not like a bad haircut that will eventually grow out; you are stuck with the results for life! I'm glad I chose him. Not only does he have impressive credentials and qualifications, but he and his staff are friendly and caring too. That is very important to me.
My surgery was on 12/09/98. I'm very happy with the results. I went from a 34 small B to a 34C (sometimes D) with under the muscle placement, smooth saline implants (Mentor round 1650s, 325 cc overfilled to 340), via periareolar incision, with local anesthesia and IV sedation. My scars are barely visible and I had no loss in sensation. I think they look gorgeous (and so does my husband, who really didn't think I should have the surgery, but is now crazy about them). They are just the right size for my frame and very "believable". They aren't perfect, but then my natural breasts were not perfect.
