After general surgery residency at The Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Dr. Diana completed his Plastic and Reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Florida. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Bexar County Medical Society. He is a trained instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

He has published articles on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast and lower extremities.

He enjoys traveling, sailing, windsurfing, SCUBA diving, snow skiing, cooking, and wine tasting.
