A native of Kansas City, Dr. Geraghty attended Bishop Miege High School in Kansas and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1968. He earned his medical degree in 1972 from the University of Kansas Medical School, which included a general surgery residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri in 1976.
He began private practice in 1978, after completing his plastic surgery residency training through the University of Missouri-Kansas City at Truman Medical Center and Children's Mercy Hospital. Dr. Geraghty has been in private practice for 22 years and has offices on the Plaza and in North Kansas City.
