Dr. Paul Rhee is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Rhee grew up in the California Bay Area. He received his Bachelor of Arts at the University of California at Berkeley in 1991, where he graduated with honors. While in college, he was a member of the 1989 national championship University of California rugby team. He played at the intercollegiate level for two years before deciding to focus on academics. He was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity at Cal.
Dr. Rhee received his medical degree from the University of Colorado in 1995. He was cited for academic excellence during his medical school tenure. Dr. Rhee completed his general surgical training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. From there, he returned to the University of Colorado to complete his plastic surgical training under Lawrence Ketch, M.D. He has been in practice in Arizona since 2000.
Now practicing in Mesa, Arizona, Dr. Rhee is actively involved as an executive committee member for Samaritan Surgicenters. He is a member of the surgical committee at Banner Baywood Medical Center. He is on active staff at Banner Baywood and Banner Desert. He is a prior medical director for the Banner Wound Center where he taught other medical professionals how to deal with problem wounds.

Dr. Rhee met his wife, Monica, while in college and has been with her for almost twenty years. She is a pediatrician, who trained at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia while he was at Temple University. When they aren’t working, they enjoy spending time with their three children.
