Over my many years as a plastic surgeon, I have come to appreciate that most of my patients desire to restore the shape and firmness of their bodies to their younger days.

This has been particularly apparent with moms whose pregnancy or pregnancies have put a great deal of strain and stress on their bodies, causing the common effects on breasts, abdomen and skin firmness with which we are all familiar. This need inspired me to specialize particularly in those procedures that can restore a mom's body to as close to her pre-pregnancy days as possible. I call this personalized combination of procedures Makeovers for Moms™.

One of the passions of my early career has been helping women with breast reconstruction after mastectomy - a set of difficult procedures that takes hours of work and tests my knowledge of anatomy and skill as a plastic surgeon. I constantly challenged myself to make results better for my patients, even when it meant being the first to use the tram flap procedure for breast reconstruction in Houston.

Thousands of breast surgeries later - augmentations, reductions and lifts - I am now happy to offer the Transumbilical Breast Augmentation procedure or TUBA, as it is sometimes called. TUBA is remarkable in that it leaves virtually no scars, and I am happy to say, patients have a much shorter recovery time than with conventional augmentations.
