This patient came to
Dr. Ciaravino of
Houston and
Sugar Land for
breast augmentation revision due to
capsular contracture. Case history -- 25 year-old female, 5'4", 128lbs. with 270 cc. McGhan anatomic ("tear drop") implants with unsatisfactory results and capsular contraction. Repair consisted of removal of
breast implants and surrounding scar tissue (capsulectomy), and replacement with 475cc Mentor, smooth, round
saline implants filled to 500cc, sub-pectoral position.
