Implant Surface: Smooth
Implant Shape: Round

In September 2005, I began considering having a breast augmentation performed. This was something I had always been against, but I had a friend who was having it performed so for some reason I began giving it some consideration.

I made my initial consultation with my plastic surgeon for the 1st of November. I was comfortable with him, and with the idea of having it done. I had heard NOTHING but positive remarks about this surgeon. He is a major perfectionist!

I saw the surgeon two more times prior to my surgery. I decided on February 3 because it was a Friday, and I had taken the entire next week off of work, leaving me 9 days for recovery in case something did not go as planned for me.

The professionals at the surgery center were very comforting, as they put me at ease prior to the surgery. After the surgery, I remember bits and pieces, but I do know that I had enough medicine in me to keep me from hurting. I can't say that I ever actually "hurt". Of course those first few days I was sore, but it was not what I anticipated. I of course was on pain meds so I don't remember much of those first few days. If I had stopped taking the pain medication the Wednesday after my surgery, I would have been a functioning individual. The next day I did stop and I was basically back to normal.

I went back to work the following Monday and I did not take any more pain medication. I drove myself to work, and I even dealt with the backseat of a tiny Honda, a three year old, and a car seat.

So here I am 25 days out, and I am doing well. I go Thursday for my one month, post op check, and I hope to hear great things!
