Visitors' Stories -- Mary's reduction and augmentation

My story is a little bit different. I am 36 years old and had 6 children in a matter of 9 years. I breast fed all six of my children, which left me with large, saggy breasts that were riddled with stretch marks. My initial hope was to just have a breast reduction. However, I went to a plastic surgeon who was not very experienced and he "botched" the breast reduction surgery. He left me with pancake shaped breasts (flat) and he misplaced my nipples by putting them too close to my arms. To make a long story short, I looked like a freak.

We moved to Hawaii and I found a wonderful plastic surgeon who did my reconstruction surgery in 2 stages. First, he put my nipples back to where they belong and he gave me a rounder, more natural shape to my breasts, however, he had to take off even more tissue to fix what the first surgeon had done.

The second stage of my reconstruction surgery he did was to augment my breasts by putting breast implants in. He gave me several options of what sizes and shapes I could choose from, but I chose to be conservative. I chose a round shape and 270 ML. (almost one cup). I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the results. I no longer have stretch marks on my breasts and I have round, firm, large breasts that are not sagging in the least.

Although this has cost me a lot of money, I consider it money well spent. I feel younger and sexier, even though I am a mother of 6 children. I cant wait to put on a bathing suit this summer and feel more confident. When I first had the breast augmentation, it was more painful than I expected, but my doctor gave me plenty of pain medication.

What I did not anticipate was my breast implants "floating up". The muscles in my chest kept wanting to push the implants out of my body. But after re-manipulating them back into place, my doctor prescribed muscle relaxers to calm the muscles down. After 4 weeks of wearing a band around my chest to hold the implants in place, and allowing the internal scar tissue to "hold them in place", I can happlily say that they have stayed in place and are exactly where they are supposed to be. Sincerely, Mary

P. S. I had my surgery done 3 months ago.
