Visitors' Stories -- Jean (page 2 of 2) My pre-op visit was good. They took my blood, which made me nauseous and dizzy. They gave me some soda and I was fine. Then, they took some more "before" pictures. I was so scared the day of my operation, which was at 8am. I didn't know what to expect. I woke up at 9:45am in the recovery room and didn't feel any discomfort or pain. My mom arrived 30 minutes later to take me home. I seemed so awake and fine that my mom asked if I even had surgery yet. They told me that my implants were filled to 380cc's on both sides. The pain finally hit me on my ride home though. I laid in bed and couldn't move. It was the worst pain of my life. It was like a sumo wrestler was sitting on my chest! I had to go to the bathroom and I couldn't even get out of bed, so, I didn't! I waited 2-3 hours to get out of bed to use the bathroom. I had to be held up and I got extremely sick with a fever. I also became extremely nauseous. I didn't want to get out of bed ever again! The pain decreased as each day went by. I stopped taking the pain pills on day 3 because it was making me sick. By day 4, the pain was gone as I walked around and did things. But the pain came back when I went to lie down to go to sleep. I used the pain pills at night only because I couldn't bear the pain. Waking up was the worst! It was the hardest to get out of bed because of the pain. But I do NOT regret my decision . 1 week - I got my stitches taken out. My breasts were very odd looking. Almost freakish! 3 weeks - The pain was finally almost gone. My breasts were also starting to take a normal shape. 2 months - My doctor told me that my breasts look really good and almost as if they were 3-4 months old. I was a little concerned with the fact that he never told me to massage them, but he assured me that I didn't need to. I trust his judgment and I haven't massaged them at all and they are coming out to look really beautiful. They look so natural also!! I feel like they have been mine my whole life. I don't even realize that they are there anymore. 3 months - My breasts have really softened up and the scar around my areola is fading away with time. The only thing I notice is that when I lift my arms I can see the line where my old crease used to be. The doctor said that with time it would go away. |
