Verifying Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic SurgeryThe American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) provides the general public with two ways to verify board certification status. Both are free of charge.
**Important Note: You need to have the surgeon's first name or initial and last name to use this service. Make sure that you have the doctor's first initial! Some doctors go by their their middle name, which will not bring up their information from the database. Example: For M. Edward Baccari, you would need to enter M Baccari, NOT Edward Baccari.
You can call the ABMS at: (866) ASK-ABMS. This site provides you with the capability of verifying all certificates, not just plastic surgery.
